My older sister Leiya and her daughter, Sophia, now 7 years old, arrived here a few weeks ago from Ohio, USA. So far, it's been a series of food trips and mall-hopping days. Hehe. I suggested that we go to La Mesa Ecopark or even QC Memorial Circle, but the weather's been erratic and the little lady doesn't like the heat. Next week, when my brother-in-law arrives, that's when the real vacation begins - we'll be going to Bohol and they'll go to Davao and Boracay after. :D So yes, I'll be restarting with the travel posts after the Bohol trip. I haven't traveled in two months. The last time they were here was back in 2007. Wow, this blog is old. And I need to change my banner. Ok, I digress.
So we went to Manila Ocean Park with my two bigger nieces, Patti and Bianca. It was actually our first time to go there. Since it's been around for a while, I was hoping all the attractions will be open and fully functional. It was quite disappointing that some areas are still under construction (with no promise that the construction will be finished soon); the "boutique mall" is actually just a bunch of stalls a la divisioria; and it's a bit confusing to navigate around the place. But we had fun nonetheless, and that's the most important thing.

We had lunch first at Makansutra. It's probably the closest thing we can get to Singapore. I liked the ambience. The food was ok and reasonably priced.

Sophie's order which she wasn't able to eat since it was too spicy :P

Off to the Oceanarium:

We found Nemo:

Then we availed of the janitor fish foot spa services for P140:

It felt uncomfortable and really ticklish at first, but we got used to it. It's something you should try at least once in your life. :P
Sophie went reverse bungee jumping. It was the highlight of her day:

Mall/resto posts to follow :)
